A self-paced, online teacher training program that will certify you through Yoga Alliance for 200 hrs. All done remotely from the comfort of wherever you are, our training program mixes reading, recorded classes, live online classes, personal practice, and self-study to deliver a well-rounded experience to you.
Different Tracks Based On Your Experience
Track 1: New To The Practice
For the beginner student. $1500
Track 1 is the longest of the programs and covers all the basics of Yoga and Ayurveda. This track ensures that you learn all necessary elements of teaching yoga so you feel prepared and knowledgable as a teacher and practitioner.
Yoga Asana, Philosophy, Anatomy, Ayurveda Principles, Yoga Business & Ethics, Sequencing, and more is covered in this comprehensive track.
This course requires the student to attend at least 10 live virtual classes. This course also includes 5 private zoom sessions (60 minutes each) with Lead Trainer.
Track 2: For The Practiced Yogi
Track 2 is designed for the practitioner who is already dedicated to their yoga practice and has some knowledge of yogic principles. This is a faster paced learning track with the intention of certifying you to teach ASAP!
Understanding of the Bandhas, Pranayama, the Chakra system, Asana, and similar principles is extremely helpful. A placement test is required for admittance into this track.
This track requires the student to attend at least 5 live virtual classes. Private zoom sessions (60 min.) with the lead trainer can be added as needed to this course at $50 each.
Track 3: Advanced Course
YACEP, RYT.-200 hr
Starting at $350. Price varies per student.
For those who already are certified, or who are already teaching and need their certification. The advanced course is designed for those already confident in teaching Yoga who are looking to go deeper in Ashtanga, Ayurveda, or Vinyasa Flow Sequencing. Track 3 is designed on an individual basis and requires a placement test for admittance.
No live virtual classes are required for this self-study course. Private zoom sessions can be added at $50/each as needed
The RYT-200 hr training program requires that you attend a specific amount of live virtual classes with the Lead Trainer. For Track 1, this number is 10. For Track 2, this number is 5.
These hours can be completed by the trainee as fits their schedule over the course of 6 months. At the beginning of each month, a tentative schedule will be sent out to all trainees. Based on collective interest and availability, class times will then be solidified. All other training hours will be self-led.
Below are a few sample times and classes that follow suit with the program.
Tuesday 5:30-7:30pm – Vinyasa Sequencing
Wednesday 10-11am – Yoga
Friday 6:30-8:30pm – The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
Sunday 3-5pm – Open Discussion Q&A
*Note that these are just sample times and classes. The live virtual class schedule will differ each month depending on the schedules of the trainees.
About The Trainers
Micha’ela Hori (Mika for short) is a Yoga Teacher, Ayurvedic Counselor, Jeweler, Mom, and Wife.
She received her RYT-500 training in 2017 in Mysore, India under the care of her teacher Bharath Shetty of Indea Yoga Academy. After returning back to the states, Mika then moved to. Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2018 to study at The Ayurvedic Institute with Dr. Vasant Lad.
She has taught yoga for 6 years, and has a love of creating Ayurvedic medicines and Vedic Astrology jewelry. Teaching is her passion!
Timothy Lewis (Tim for short) is a Yoga Teacher, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Vedic Astrologer, dad, and husband!
Tim did his yoga teacher training back in 2008 with Flow Yoga. Shortly after, he graduated from the California College of Ayurveda, and opened his own practice in Salt Lake City. That practice is Wasatch Ayurveda & Yoga!
For years, Wasatch Ayurveda & Yoga has served the people of Utah, Idaho, Hawaii, and beyond in authentic Ayurvedic medicine and counseling. Tim’s knowledge base is bottomless, and continues to grow with each day.
